La formación discursiva se define como “aquilo que numa formação ideológica dada, ou seja,
a partir de uma posição dada em uma conjuntura sócio-histórica dada, determina o que pode
e deve ser dito”2 (Orlandi, 2001, p. 43). En otras palabras, la formación discursiva se
caracteriza por las marcas ideológicas que inducen a rasgos tipológicos y estilísticos, que
indican el contexto donde se constituye el lenguaje.
En líneas generales, todo discurso es construido con base en conocimiento
implícitamente acordado que denota una formación discursiva del autor. En el presente
artículo es posible apreciar cómo Eduardo Sanabria muestra una formación discursiva que
refleja rasgos ideológicos y sociohistóricos, manifestados en el humor gráfico presente en
sus caricaturas.
Una caricatura es un género textual de carácter humorístico que tiene por finalidad
comunicativa realizar una crítica (Cavalcanti, 2008). En esta crítica aparecen temáticas y
contextos temporales específicos, donde se hace referencia comúnmente a personas públicas,
explicando el contexto temporal y situacional, en los cuales el tema en cuestión y los
personajes están insertados. Así, una caricatura representa un contenido que puede ser
reconocido por el entorno social donde se desarrolla. Para Sędek (2020), una caricatura se
compone de una situación referida, la cual concierne a la temática abordada, y la situación
ficticia, aquella instaurada por el humorista gráfico valiéndose se lo insólito, absurdo,
ridículo, deformado y/o exagerado, y así generar un sentido literal y uno o más sentidos
figurados.
En la perspectiva de Cavalcanti (2008), el género de caricaturas es construido, la
mayoría de las veces, a través de la mezcla entre el lenguaje verbal escrito y el lenguaje
visual, tales como palabras y frases, imágenes, ilustraciones, colores, formas, formatos,
posiciones corporales, etc. En tal sentido, los elementos verbales escritos y los elementos
visuales configuran la caricatura como un género multimodal.
En términos generales, para poder hacer un análisis del discurso es importante
reconocer el dispositivo teórico que permite emerger la aproximación teórica e ideológica.
