Abstract

This article is a reflective piece that aims to describe the impact of emotions on students. These play a crucial role in meaningful learning. By influencing attention, motivation, and memory, positive emotions facilitate the connection with new knowledge, while negative ones can hinder it. Creating an emotionally safe and stimulating learning environment is fundamental to fostering curiosity, interest, and active participation, key elements for significant and lasting learning. In this sense, emotions can lean towards the positive, allowing students to connect with them, or towards the negative, impacting their learning and behavior. Furthermore, emotions influence how students view education, their desire to learn, and their motivation to be learners interested in the educational process, especially in the current era with so many transformations.
