THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE READING AND WRITING PROCESS IN PRIMARY EDUCATION STUDENTS

The purpose of the research was to develop the literacy process in primary education students from the UENB “Antonio Guzmán Blanco” school library, located in the Montaña Fresca urbanization in Maracay, Venezuela. From a methodological point of view, it was a descriptive field investigation that was developed through the use of strategies to overcome the literacy difficulties that students present and create texts from reading. The population was made up of 85 students from 1st to 3rd grade and the sample was made up of 12 students with reading and writing difficulties. To make the diagnosis, the difficulties presented by the students were recorded. The action plan was developed over 3 weeks applying the designed strategies. It was concluded that 7 students managed to consolidate their reading and writing process at 90%, 3 at only 65% and the other 2 at 25%.
