Abstract

Education in recent times has faced significant changes and transformations as a result of technology and it is thus considered the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) didactic approach that aims at a teaching model framed in innovative pedagogical actions that seek to strengthen academic performance; this is how the present general objective arises: to reflect on the theoretical successes that emanate from the innovative teaching model framed in the STEAM didactic approach. Developed through the methodology of documentary analysis, generating as a product a scientific essay; which is a theoretical contribution of great value for teachers to understand the benefits of the STEAM approach; It is appropriate to point out that the analysis of some experiences and knowledge applied to the teaching of science, technology, art and mathematics is obtained as a result. This brings as a conclusion that the STEAM didactic approach becomes a multidisciplinary teaching mode that involves a set of knowledge that must be managed in a transversal way in order to ensure a comprehensive quality learning, for a better development of students in their environment.
