Description LETRAS: is a peer-reviewed, scientific university publication that disseminates the results of work by national and foreign researchers in the various areas of linguistic and literary knowledge, with an emphasis on educational issues. In 1958 its first number was published under the name of the Bulletin of the Department of Spanish, Literature and Latin, and as of number 23, it began to be called Letters. Its fundamental objectives are: 1. Contribute to the construction of scientific knowledge in the areas of linguistics and literary criticism; 2. Collaborate with the improvement of the quality of education in the field of language and literature; 3. Study the literary linguistic identity of Venezuelans and Latin Americans; 4. Promote the construction of the cultural identity of the Venezuelan through educational research in our areas of action. LETRAS is the continuation of the Bulletin of the Department of Spanish Literature and Latin of the IPC. Indexed and arbitrated with triple blind arbitration. LETRAS is edited by the Andrés Bello Venezuelan Institute for Linguistic and Literary Research (IVILLAB), formerly the Andrés Bello CILLAB Center for Linguistic and Literary Research.
