Abstract

The objective of this essay was to analyze how podcasts generate digital communicative practices that influence the construction of new subjectivities in educational communities. To this end, a theoretical, analytical, and reflective approach was proposed, based on a literature review and the integration of authors who had addressed the topic from the perspectives of communication, education, and cultural studies. The essay is structured around three axes of analysis: the relationship between digital communication practices and subjectivity in the school context, the podcast as a communicative and pedagogical device, and the reconfiguration of the student's role as both creator and audience of content. The results show that podcasts were configured in classrooms as a pedagogical device that favored participatory, dialogic, and collaborative communication practices, opening the school to new mediation processes that influenced the collaborative construction of knowledge, the promotion of meaningful learning, and the development of communicative and critical competencies. The podcast, therefore, fostered more autonomous and reflective student subjectivities, expanding spaces for expression and participation in school. It was concluded that the educational podcast influenced the reconfiguration of the student's role, consolidating a hybrid condition that articulated the processes of listening and production, teaching and learning, thus contributing to the formation of critical subjects capable of interpreting and transforming the discourses circulating in digital culture.
