ONE STEP, ONE DAY AT A TIME: PEDAGOGICAL PROPOSALS FOR VOCATIONAL GUIDANCE TO SUPPORT THE DEVELOPMENT OF A LIFE PROJECT

The text aimed to generate conceptual, pedagogical, and interpretive elements that enable vocational guidance as a way to accompany the construction of life projects in educational contexts. To this end, a documentary review was carried out that compared the theoretical foundations of life projects, their links with vocational guidance processes, and the possible pedagogical guidelines for vocational guidance that accompany the formulation of life projects. Among other things, it was found that vocational guidance helps students identify their talents and abilities, which can then be directed toward their future and expectations. It was also recognized that the life project is a personal construction that contains goals, aspirations, purposes, and interests, and only intentions, so that it is, at the same time, a narrative that takes shape from identity, values, and aspirations. It is concluded that these conceptual, pedagogical, and interpretive elements reveal that vocational guidance is a process by which students, with the guidance of teachers, construct a life project that allows for their future development by finding motivation to live and a space for making vital decisions.
