Abstract

Currently, educational processes have undergone substantial transformations in terms of how knowledge is accessed, information is produced, and learning experiences are developed at all educational levels due to the rapid advancement of new technologies, particularly Artificial Intelligence (AI). These technologies offer opportunities to strengthen teaching, personalize learning, and provide immediate access to academic information. However, they also present significant challenges, including the uncritical and excessive reliance on these tools by both students and teachers. This essay aims to analyze the educational implications of the use of Artificial Intelligence in teaching and learning processes, particularly regarding the weakening of skills related to critical thinking, argumentation, and the autonomous construction of knowledge. From a reflective and pedagogical perspective, the ethical, cognitive, and educational challenges associated with contemporary education in the context of rapid technological advancement are examined.
