Abstract

The contributions of education to community development are fundamental. These communities require comprehensive training that enables their inhabitants to confront their reality and maintain the traditions that are shaped by it. This argumentative essay, in the form of a narrative, seeks to interpret the elements present in rural education as a challenge for comprehensive education. From this perspective, a review of different reference sources was conducted, providing valuable information related to one's own perceptions of reality. In this sense, it was determined that rural education is a source of knowledge for children and young people in this sector and that it is also formulated to promote people's attachment to their own environment. Furthermore, rural education is driven by the need to generate comprehensive training that enables these communities to thrive and achieve their full development, valuing the skills and competencies of their inhabitants and harnessing the potential of these areas, which are necessary for the construction of meaningful learning.
