The educational process in the rural area presents its own particularities that make it a challenge assumed by its actors towards the fulfillment of the proposed objectives within a context where the school interacts actively based on discernments and performances in a constructive way; that is why this article aims to generate a theoretical approach on strategic alliances between the agricultural and educational sector for the strengthening of education in the municipality of San Mateo, department of Boyacá, Colombia. This is initially based on showing a contrast in this regard between different contexts to subsequently perform the analysis of various constructs over time where the integration of agricultural entities with the Colombian education system for the improvement of the quality of life of the rural population through the implementation of productive pedagogical projects that result in improving the coverage and quality of education is evidenced. On the other hand, it is of great relevance to mention the large gap that in recent years has appeared between rural and urban education and specifically in the context where the study is located with the purpose of retaking and proposing new integration strategies mainly between agricultural technical assistance and the educational service in search not only of improving rural education but also the living conditions of the inhabitants of rural areas in order to reduce the migration of families to the big cities.
