Education today reveals a range of issues stemming from the impact of technologies, which have undoubtedly become a means of captivating students in some cases and distracting them in others. Thus, through a deconstruction of what is happening in educational institutions, the purpose of this study is to reflect on school life in the digital age, specifically examining the influence of social media on students’ interpersonal relationships. The methodology involves a literature review combined with content analysis. The result is a scholarly essay that contributes significantly to understanding the reality experienced in educational institutions in light of society’s demands. When we see that social media seems to be outpacing teachers, it has become an unfailing friend to some and a source of detachment from daily life for others; this is why we cannot ignore it and must learn to live with it; The time has come to link this to school life and interpersonal relationships, especially in an educational environment shaped by technology, where many factors threaten to disrupt peaceful coexistence. This is why it is essential to consider new ways of guiding students in an era of high technical complexity.
