Open Access

The Open Access refers to unrestricted access to any content that is published in journals that declare it so. In Investigación y Postgrado (Research and Postgraduate) we subscribe and declare that we are an Open Access journal and access to its content will be allowed free of charge to any user.

Investigación y Postgrado It is a journal that meets the necessary conditions to be considered Open Access, since it is possible to access, through the Internet, the content of its articles freely and universally, without this implying any cost for the reader.

Investigación y Postgrado authors assign copyright, by means of a letter, as indicated in the Publication Standards, so that potential users may use, copy or distribute the content, as long as due credit is given to the author(s) of the article.

Investigación y Postgrado is an Open Access journal because the full version of the content has been deposited, in an appropriate electronic format, in an open access repository, such as the Open Journal Systems.

In this regard, we subscribe, as journal, the San Francisco Declaration on Research Assessment (DORA) and the Mexico Declaration (joint Declaration LATINDEX-REDALYC-CLACSO-IBICT to guarantee the protection of academic and scientific production in Open Access about use Creative Commons license CC BY–NC–SA) that integrates the principles established in the “three Bs”: Budapest Open Access Initiative (2002), The Berlin Declaration on Open Access to Knowledge in the Sciences and Humanities (2003) y Bethesda Statement on Open Access Publishing (2003).

About Open Access, in the Budapest Open Access Initiative states the following: “Open Access to peer-reviewed journal literature is the goal. Self-archiving (I.) and a new generation of open-access journals (II.) are the ways to attain this goal. They are not only direct and effective means to this end, they are within the reach of scholars themselves, immediately, and need not wait on changes brought about by markets or legislation. While we endorse the two strategies just outlined, we also encourage experimentation with further ways to make the transition from the present methods of dissemination to open access. Flexibility, experimentation, and adaptation to local circumstances are the best ways to assure that progress in diverse settings will be rapid, secure, and long-lived”.

Investigación y Postgrado has as a principle to promote free and immediate access to its content, which encourages a greater exchange of knowledge in the global academic environment.
