Abstract

Concepts on mathematics teaching from a didactic perspective encompass a broad spectrum of approaches that seek to optimize learning and understanding of this discipline. One of the most relevant conceptions is the constructivist approach, which maintains that students construct their own knowledge through meaningful experiences and interaction with their environment. For this reason, the objective of this article is to analyze the impact of these conceptions on mathematics teaching from a didactic perspective. To achieve this goal, a qualitative methodology based on an essay-type text will be used. From this perspective, the importance of promoting active learning is emphasized, where students not only memorize formulas or procedures, but also deeply understand mathematical concepts. This involves the use of practical activities, contextualized problems, and the promotion of critical thinking, allowing students to relate mathematics to real-life situations and develop problem-solving skills.
