Abstract

When a research study is proposed on the importance in Latin American countries of the relationship between family and school, it is predominant to say that this constitutes the fundamental basis on which the academic performance and integral formation of students at different educational levels are built. In the case of the Colombian context, due to the relevance of this relationship, it has been given a legal and pedagogical form of great significance, with the aim of raising awareness among people that it is only the responsibility of teachers and educational institutions that students achieve success in learning, but that this mission must be shared by the members of the triad composed of: Students – family – school. Therefore, in the article, a documentary study is conducted on the importance of the family – school relationship in the integral formation of students in education basic in Colombia, so a series of pedagogical strategies are described that can be applied jointly by parents and/or guardians and teachers in order to improve teaching and, therefore. Achieve meaningful and comprehensive learning in students.
