CREATIVE PEDAGOGICAL STRATEGIES FOR TEACHING PHYSICAL EDUCATION IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IN THE COLOMBIAN CONTEXT

Throughout its history, education has had to grapple with countless changes and transformations; therefore, it is considered appropriate to pause and examine the various approaches and methods teachers employ to ensure effective instruction; Thus, by examining one of the most significant areas of curriculum design—physical education—the following objective is proposed: to reflect on the proposed influence of creative pedagogical strategies for teaching physical education in elementary schools within the Colombian context. This research is grounded in the interpretative paradigm and qualitive research approach, utilizing the hermeneutic method supported by a documentary review. It aims to understand within the school setting how physical education instruction facilitates the re-education or consolidation of learning in alignment with the students ‘development stages. The technical framework and conceptual tools of this scientific essay represent a significant contribution to physical education instruction mediated by creative strategies, seeking to explain the importance of teaching a motivating process that enables students to achieve holistic development for the sake of social and academic well-being.
