LEADERSHIP OF THE DIRECTOR IN THE QUALITY OF INSTITUTIONAL MANAGEMENT: A CHALLENGE IN CURRENT EDUCATION

The purpose of this research was to determine the relationship between the leadership of the Director and institutional management. For this purpose, a descriptive and correlational investigation of a non-experimental nature was carried out. The techniques used were the survey and the non-systematized observation. The instrument used for the data collection was the questionnaire, which was applied to an intentional sample formed by directors, teachers and administrative staff of educational institutions of the Imperial district of the province of Cañete, Lima. The results indicated that the personal characteristics of the director improve the pedagogical, administrative, organizational and community partner aspect of the institutions under his/her responsibility at a high level of significance. Hence, it is of vital importance that he/she assumes his/her position as an education manager so that the team responsible for the educational institution can perform successfully in its functions.
